M30 Pills: Overview, Uses, and Risks

Oxycodone “M30 pills” is a street term commonly used to describe blue, round tablets that are marked with “M” on one side and “30” on the other. These pills are intended to be 30 mg immediate-release oxycodone, a powerful opioid prescribed for severe pain. However, in many cases today, pills sold as “M30” are counterfeit and may not contain genuine oxycodone.

Authentic M30 pills contain oxycodone, which works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord to reduce the perception of pain. It can also produce feelings of relaxation and euphoria, which contributes to its high potential for misuse and addiction. When prescribed legitimately, oxycodone is used for managing acute or chronic pain under strict medical supervision.

A major concern with M30 pills is the widespread presence of counterfeit versions. Many illicitly manufactured pills sold under this label actually contain Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is significantly more potent than oxycodone. Even a very small amount of fentanyl can be fatal, especially for individuals without opioid tolerance. Because these counterfeit pills often look identical to real ones, it is extremely difficult to tell them apart without proper testing.

The effects of genuine oxycodone-based M30 pills include pain relief, drowsiness, slowed breathing, and a sense of well-being.
